Eid-ul-Adha 01 August 2020

Eid-ul-Adha is an Islamic festival and one of the holiest occasions in the Islamic religion. This year, the festival of Eid-ul-Adha will be observed on Saturday, August 01, 2020, in India and other parts of the world. The festival of Eid-ul-Adha is also most popularly known as Bakra Eid as Muslim community give the sacrifice of Bakri (goat) on this day. The festival of Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated by the Muslims residing across the world. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, people meet each other to celebrate the day with hugs, wishes, prayers, and gala feast. Men, women, children draped in exquisite clothing visit their relatives, friends and neighbours with sweets and gifts. Many people also take part in the Hajj pilgrimage - an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims.
